Baby Kicks Not Found on Route 66

July 18th, 2012

Feeling Max kick throughout the day is always a fun surprise. But when I can force it to happen at will, I’m a happy, controlling camper. I found The best way to get him revved up is to bump a little music through my iPhone speakers by placing them directly on my soccer ball sized uterus (No worries. That means safely near my belly button).

So which band or artist is the one to get Little Max all revved up?

Based on my musical inclinations, some might assume it’s the melodic talents of Weezer.

Based on Graeme’s playlist, others might guess it’s Rush -thanks mostly in part to Neil Peart’s fierce drum talents.

The Donut Tears

July 11th, 2012

For the most part, my hormones haven’t been out of control. I joke about being a Hormonal Hulk at times, but it’s really all in jest. I have yet to experience an uncontrollable outburst of rage or tears – apart from this story…

Graeme and I carpool most mornings and this particular day he decided he could use a little pick-me-up from Starbucks. As we made the detour to the drive-thru I asked if he would please order a donut. As he happily places his order with the attendant, he forgets to mention my request.

So I remind him.

“Graeme, donut!”

He stares at me blankly.

“Donut!”

He stares at me blankly, turns his head to the speaker, “That will complete my order.”

I was brutally rebuffed (Clueless FTW!).

Not knowing what to say or how to react, I will let this popular Internet meme summarize my feelings.

This is what Little Max does in my stomach after eating an Eegee.
